Krosaki USA Inc.(KUI), a U.S. subsidiary of Krosaki Harima Corporation, is exhibiting at AISTech 2026, an international exhibition organized by the Association for Iron & Steel Technology(AIST), held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U.S.A., from May 4 to 6, 2026.

AISTech is one of the largest international exhibitions in North America, bringing together the latest technologies, equipment, and solutions for the steel industry. At the exhibition, the Krosaki Harima Group is introducing its advanced refractory technologies and K-GenesisX strategic products, which contribute to stable steelmaking operations, quality improvement, energy conservation, and environmental impact reduction.

At the KUI booth, the Group is displaying actual samples of key products, including submerged entry nozzles, which are functional refractories supporting the production of high-grade steel; the R-mechanism for SN refractory replacement; and KROTECT™, an ultra-high-performance nano-insulation material that contributes to energy conservation through its outstanding thermal insulation properties. These exhibits have attracted strong interest from many visitors since the first day of the event.

In addition, KUI is presenting K-GenesisX strategic products such as TOUGHMAX™, MAGreenX™, AirGreen™, EVERCLEAN™, Stabilex™, and REX-ROBO™ through photographs, showcasing the Group’s wide range of solutions that address challenges faced by the steel industry, including longer refractory service life, stable operations, environmental responsiveness, automation, and labor savings.

Furthermore, at the technical presentation session, the Group presents the following two topics:

  • Gas-Blown Refractories for Continuous Casting Aimed at Stable Operation and Improved Slab Quality
  • Development of Novel Easy Drying Powdery Binder for Castable Refractories

Through these presentations, the Group introduces refractory technologies that contribute to stable operations and improved slab quality in the continuous casting process, as well as a new binder technology that helps improve installation efficiency and the drying process. The presentations also highlights the Group’s long-standing materials design capabilities and its ability to address on-site operational challenges.

This exhibition provides a valuable opportunity to enhance the presence of the Krosaki Harima Group in the North American market, centered on KUI, while strengthening relationships with global customers, identifying new needs, and further expanding K-GenesisX strategic products.

The Krosaki Harima Group will continue to provide high-value-added solutions centered on refractory technologies and contribute to stable operations, quality improvement, energy conservation, and environmental impact reduction in the global steel industry.
