Background

Advantages of REX-ROBO™ UQC

1 Liberation of workers from heavy labor in harsh environments with high temperatures and dust

At sites of SEN exchange during casting, maintenance work such as SEN exchange is required by human hands in high-temperature environments, such as in front of tundish or molten steel. Moreover, sites of SEN exchange during casting are not only hot but also have a lot of dust floating in the air, making it a harsh environment.
By automating the tasks of SEN exchange performed by humans in such environments with robots, workers can be liberated from heavy labor to achieve more safe and secure operations.

2 Contributing to stable maintenance work

REX-ROBO™ UQC achieves stable maintenance work of SEN quick changer by performing predetermined movements with robots. Utilizing the strength of robots to repeatedly perform the same movements, it can always carry out accurate work and recordkeeping.

3 Sustainable operations through manpower reduction

With the rapid decline in the working population, securing workers at sites of SEN exchange during casting is expected to become a major management challenge in the future.
By shifting heavy physical labor in high-temperature environments to robots and reducing manpower needs, the risk of not being able to secure workers is mitigated, enhancing the business sustainability of customers.
